Chief Operational Officer (COO)

1. Role and Mission

As Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for translating SNCH’s strategic vision into operational excellence. You will oversee the day-to-day management of operations, ensure regulatory compliance in homologation and certification, and drive
continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen SNCH’s competitiveness and reputation both nationally and internationally.

2. Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy & Business Development

• Define and implement SNCH’s operational strategy and related action plans.
• Anticipate regulatory and technological developments (electric, connected, automated vehicles, cybersecurity, emissions, etc.) and adapt operations accordingly.
• Support the development of new services and business opportunities aligned with evolving market needs and standards.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Set clear and measurable performance objectives to enhance efficiency and foster continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily operations, providing leadership and guidance to teams.
• Allocate financial and human resources effectively in line with priorities and strategic goals.
• Promote and actively contribute to quality management initiatives.
• Streamline internal processes to ensure high-quality services for manufacturers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Representation & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary operational contact for the Board of Directors, Executive Management, employees, and external partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international stakeholders: institutions, manufacturers, suppliers, technical services, and foreign counterparts.
• Represent SNCH within European and international bodies and working groups related to automotive homologation (European Commission, UNECE/WP.29, etc.).

3. Profile & Requirements

Education & Experience

• University degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid professional background in homologation, certification, or automotive regulation.
• Proven track record in team leadership and project management.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of automotive technologies and regulatory frameworks (EU, UNECE WP.29).
• Familiarity with accreditation standards.
• Strategic planning and project management capabilities.
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in German, French, and English (professional level). Knowledge ofLuxembourgish is considered an advantage.
