1. Mission of the Role:
The Chief Quality and Risk Management Officer is responsible for implementing the Quality and Risk Management part of SNCH’s strategy and organization, as well as ensuring the daily optimization of the Quality Management System.
He/she ensures regulatory compliance in homologation and certification activities, contributes to internal continuous improvement, and strengthens the recognition and competitiveness of SNCH.
2. Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Definition and implementation of the Quality and the Risk Management strategy
o Define and deploy SNCH’s Quality and the Risk Management strategy, design and implement the related action plans.
o Maintain the ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation.
o Develop and maintain the documentary system.
o Manage the organization of internal and external audits and ensure follow-up on actions arising from them.
o Lead the management reviews and ensure follow-up on decided actions and decisions.
o Manage and ensure the follow-up of the non-conforming (non-conformities, complaints, appeals…).
o Organize and/or lead training sessions in relation to SNCH's Quality Management System.
o Implement and supervise the risk management related to the approval process and monitor the effectiveness of measures put in place (Initial Assessment, CoP, audits, ISC/ISV, …).
· Designation of technical services
o Assess the application of candidates and present the result of the assessment to the Board of Directors.
o Continuously assess the designated technical services and, if relevant, prepare the designation recommendation for the MMPW.
o Participate to Joint Assessment Teams organized by other Type-Approval Authorities.
· Institutional relations, representation, and partnerships
o Act as the Quality and Risk Management point of contact for the Board of Directors, Management, staff, and external parties.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and international stakeholders: institutions, manufacturers, suppliers, technical services, accreditation body, foreign counterparts.
o Represent SNCH in European and international bodies and working groups related to automotive homologation (European Commission, UNECE/WP.29, etc.).
o Be part of the audit team in relation with the joint assessment team process.
3. Required Skills:
· Education and experience
o University degree (automotive engineering).
o Proven professional experience in the field of homologation, certification, or automotive regulation.
o Proven professional experience in the field of Quality Management Systems and risk assessment.
o Demonstrated experience in team management and project management.
· Technical skills
o In-depth knowledge of accreditation standards (ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17065).
o Qualifications as quality system auditor.
o Knowledge of automotive practices and technologies as well as regulations (EU, UNECE WP.29).
o Project management and strategic planning skills.
o Strong writing and synthesis abilities.
o Proficiency in IT tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Languages: German, French, and English (professional level). Luxembourgish is an asset.
